Coiled rug, table runners, basket, coasters and drink holders. Made from reused fabric from old clothes. c2016

I attempted to sell these through Reverse Garbage. I did sell a few. I sold a few to friends and gave some away. I have some in a drawer taking up space. At the time I was very much into having a no or low waste studio... I'm still into that idea, but I think I give up trying to do things 'to sell' and will just make art.

Table centrepiece or wall hanging - Made from reused fabric from old clothes.

I was originally trying to work out ways to make useful things with my coiling... This is however, more practical as decoration since I don't know how well it would wash. Sometimes you just want to make something for the learning experience, even though you know it may have limited practical use.

I think this would look good expanded to do a large wall hanging.

Small rug - Made from reused fabric from old clothes.

I liked this rug, but it's not overly practical. I don't know how well or easily it would wash. It was faster to make than a plaited rug, so useful if you need a rug quickly and have a lot of old fabric to use up.

I made a few of these at the time, but they were never that appealing. I was thinking of them as Easter baskets. Aprox 25cm across.
Out of all of these things, I think the drink holders worked best. They are probably sturdy enough to be washed as well. If not, they at least last as long as neoprene holders, and being reused fabric (mostly cottons) they are much more environmentally friendly, even if this is the end of use.
